SofaScore is one of the leading companies in the field of sports results and statistics that provides sports fans with top experience in following results and other statistics in real-time. The main products of the company are web and mobile applications, and we have 100 creative and enthusiastic employees.

The project has been developing for 10 years and has increased significantly over the years. SofaScore is full of various information and possibilities for users. In such a large product, it is crucial, but also extremely difficult, to maintain a high level of UX. We currently have 20 million users around the world, who have different expectations and needs from SofaScore. The most important thing is that they can very easily find the information that is important to them, but also discover and understand all the advanced features that are available to them.

In 2021, we plan to strengthen the UX team and put even more emphasis on customer research with each new feature we develop. Also, we are planning a big upgrade of the existing UX. That is why we are looking for a UX Team Leader. In SofaScore, the Design Team is separate from UX and it already has its leader. UX team is primarily focused on User Research, UX testing and UX copywriting. We are looking for a person with the knowledge and experience of User Research, in order to improve and expand that segment. The task of this team is to research and point out the best UX direction from the internal development phase of the idea to the research phase after the feature is released into production and tested by the users. Data analysts who have access to numerous metrics related to the use of our product work closely with the team, as well as the Product Management team with their business point of view, that initiates certain projects and collects knowledge from the UX team.

Tasks:

• Introducing the best practices and tools in the field of User Research and establishing a sustainable and scalable User Research process within SofaScore
• Organizing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, in order to provide designers and other stakeholders with insight into the expectations of our users
• Close collaboration with Designers, Product Managers and Data Analysts
• Identifying opportunities for UX enhancements on the product
• Leading the UX team, taking care of the development of team members
• Further expansion and development of the UX team

 
Expectations:

• At least 3 years of experience in User Research
• Experience in leading a team
• Work proactivity - independently proposing new opportunities for the progress of UX
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good mentoring skills - transferring knowledge to teammates
• Knowledge of sports is an advantage - understanding the domain makes it easier to choose the right type of research and make the right decisions
